How do you automate paid social campaigns with AI?

Automating paid social with AI means handing software the campaign work a media buyer does by hand on Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok and Snapchat: building campaigns, ad sets and ads, moving budgets, watching delivery and reporting. Five kinds of tools each automate part of it: the platforms' own automation, their MCP servers for AI assistants, rule-based tools, AI creative generators, and an AI agent that builds and runs the campaigns from a media plan, with the team's approval.

What can be automated on paid social

A paid social campaign goes through the same stages on every platform, and each one can be automated by a different kind of tool.

  • Setup. Turning a brief or a media plan into the platform's objects: campaigns, ad sets on Meta, ad groups on TikTok, ad squads on Snapchat, ads, targeting, budgets, dates, naming and tracking.
  • Delivery. Choosing who sees the ads, where and at what cost, once the campaign runs.
  • Budget and status changes. Moving budget between campaigns or ad sets, pausing what underperforms, scaling what works.
  • Creative. Producing ad visuals and copy, and variants of them.
  • Monitoring and reporting. Watching pacing and performance, and reporting the results.

Most tools automate one stage on one platform. On a plan that runs on Meta, TikTok and Snapchat at once, setup is the stage that still takes the longest, because it is done once per platform, by hand. How a media plan becomes live campaigns.

Five kinds of tools, and what each automates

They are not exclusive. An agent can build a Meta campaign that uses Advantage+ audience and Advantage+ campaign budget, and Advantage+ then optimizes its delivery.

Which one you need

  • Better delivery on one platform. Start with Advantage+ on Meta or Smart+ on TikTok: they are already in Ads Manager.
  • An AI assistant working in one ad account. The platform's MCP server. On Meta, rules set in Ads Manager can make it read-only or require approval.
  • The same optimizations, every day, on live campaigns. Rules.
  • More creative variants. A creative generator.
  • A media plan launched on Meta, TikTok, Snapchat and more, with your naming, your checks and your approval. An AI agent that builds the campaigns from the plan.

What to check before AI touches a social ad account

  • Scope. Which ad accounts the tool can act on, and which actions: read, create, edit, delete.
  • Approval. Launches and budget changes wait for a person.
  • Checks against the plan. Budgets, dates, targeting and names compared with the media plan before anything is sent.
  • Status on creation. Campaigns created paused or disabled, and enabled once reviewed.
  • History. Every change recorded: who asked, who approved, what was sent.
  • Limits. What the tool cannot do on each platform, so nobody assumes it was done.

Where Concord fits

Concord is the agentic infrastructure for media buying, automating campaign execution across advertising platforms. On paid social, its AI agent builds Facebook and Instagram campaigns, ad sets and ads on Meta, campaigns, ad groups and ads on TikTok, and campaigns, ad squads and ads on Snapchat, from your brief or media plan. It adjusts budgets and reports on performance, and the same plan can run on Google Ads and YouTube and DV360.

AI interprets the request. Concord's own integration with each platform builds and checks every setting: every parameter runs through 1,000+ checks before anything is sent, and significant campaign actions require approval by an authorized user. AI models never interact directly with the platforms.

On Meta, Concord can set Advantage+ audience and Advantage+ campaign budget where your plan uses them. On TikTok, it creates, updates, pauses and duplicates Smart+ campaigns. Campaign setup takes under 30 minutes from media plan to live campaigns, versus 2+ hours by hand, a Concord estimate from platform usage.

Questions

Can AI automate my Facebook and Instagram ads?

Yes, in two ways that work together. Meta Advantage+ automates audience, budget and placements once a campaign runs. An AI agent such as Concord builds the campaigns, ad sets and ads from your media plan, adjusts budgets and reports on performance, and significant campaign actions require approval by an authorized user. Concord on Meta.

Is Concord an AI tool for social media advertising?

Yes, for paid social execution. Concord turns your brief or media plan into Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat campaigns, ad sets and ads, adjusts their budgets and reports on performance. AI interprets the request; Concord's own platform integrations build and check every setting, and significant campaign actions require approval by an authorized user.

How is Concord different from Meta Advantage+?

Advantage+ is Meta's automation inside a Meta campaign: it optimizes audience, budget and placements once the campaign runs. Concord builds and runs the campaigns themselves from your media plan, on Meta and on TikTok, Snapchat, Google Ads and DV360, and can set Advantage+ audience and Advantage+ campaign budget where your plan uses them.

Can I connect ChatGPT or Claude to my Meta or TikTok ad account?

Yes, through each platform's official MCP server. Meta's lets an agent create, edit and delete campaigns, ad sets and ads; TikTok's lets it create campaigns and adjust budgets and bids. On its own, nothing checks what the agent sends against your plan. Concord adds tools that know each platform, 1,000+ checks, permissions and approvals, and your own agent can use them through Concord's MCP server.

Will AI replace our paid social team?

No. The plan, the judgment and the client relationship stay with the team. The agent takes the execution work, building campaigns, applying changes, checking and reporting, and the team approves what matters.

Does it work on TikTok and Snapchat too?

In Concord, yes. On TikTok, every campaign, ad group and ad Concord creates lands disabled until you enable it. On Snapchat, Concord forecasts reach before launch and keeps everything paused until you activate it.
